Founded in 1999, the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department is a not-for-profit Police Bagpipe and Drum band.  Our motivation...Our mission...is to always be in service to our fellow police officers, firefighters and their families.  We are organized as an not for profit 501C corporation run by the elected Board Members.  Read more here...

On May 4th the band participated in the annual St. Jude Police memorial march held at Chicago Police Memorial Gold Star Park. The march is a special part of our department and reminds us that the legacies of our fallen live on.  Photos here.

WE HONOR OUR FALLEN HEROES Illinois Police Memorial - On April 1, 2008 members of the band proudly participated in memorial services held at our State capital honoring all law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty serving the citizens of Illinois.
CONGRATULATIONS to our DRUM SERGEANT Joe Gallardo on his successful solo drumming quest in 2007.  Joe was awarded CHAMPION SUPREME status in GRADE 2 within the entire Mid West Pipe Band Association!!  Way to go Joe!!!
