St. Patty’s Run Green 8K

On Sunday, March 7, 2010 band members participated in the 2nd Annual St. Patty’s Run Green 8k. While we didn’t actually run in the race - we most certainly partook in a marathon event in playing the pipes and drums for almost an hour straight as the 1500 participants raced to the finish line. Like last year…the band brought in the rear crossing the finish line last. Congratulations for all those who participated (and finished the 8k) and thank you to all the pipers and drummers from the band for spending their Sunday afternoon playing the pipes and drums non-stop; what a way to get ready for St. Patrick’s Day!
