2 Line of Duty Deaths
Posted on July 29th, 2010 by Joseph Brady

On 28 July 2010 the law enforcement community in North Carolina lost two of it’s finest.
Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy John Willis was shot and killed Wednesday, July 28th while responding to a domestic disturbance call.
On Wednesday, July 28th Inspector Timothy Barnes of the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles License and Theft Bureau suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after completing physical training at the NCDMV License and Theft Bureau inspector training program.
On behalf of the members of the Wake & District Public Safety Pipes and Drums we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of Deputy Willis and Inspector Barnes.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I would like to thank everyone for their prayers on behalf of my son, Jon-Michael Willis. I also would like to thank you for all that you have done by posting this banner.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
Jon-Michael’s Mother.
